Position Summary

Under Armour seeks an experienced SEO to drive and execute strategy for Ecommerce as part of a rapidly growing digital team. This teammate will play a critical role in creating, facilitating and executing the EMEA SEO. You will help the team optimize performance and develop new SEO-driven initiatives designed to meet aggressive growth targets. The ideal candidate will have some enterprise level SEO experience, analytics expertise and excellent project management skills.

As the EMEA SEO Lead you are a passionate advocate of the Under Armour Brand and it’s consumers as well as detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, capable of dealing with ambiguity and rapidly-changing priorities in our fast-paced environment. In this role you manage eCommerce Websites and the PWAs to maximize visibility in Organic search results in 10+ countries. You influence campaigns, copy, design & messaging to ensure SEO best practices are followed and in harmony with a growing, rapidly developing the SEO program for the region.

For this role it is vital that you collaborate with the other channels and functions that contribute to the digital consumer journey and experience. You will partner up with the channel specialists to ensure a 360 degree synergy.

You have a natural curiosity and keen ability to develop, articulate and execute a best in class SEO strategy. You are exceptionally adept at articulating highly technical SEO plans and projects to non-SEO teams, including senior executives.

We expect you to analyze performance based on SEO positioning & analytics data, including data from Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Trends. You are always seeking ways to improve everything from processes to communication. You are accountable for growing Organic traffic to all eCommerce assets. You are results oriented and focused on automation and scaling SEO initiatives to maximize ROI and deliverable measurable growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Consumer Engagement Director and the North America SEO Manager to develop SEO strategies, inform targets and execute plans to continuously improve Ecommerce SEO Globally
  • Hands on attitude and willingness to dive into keyword research, competitive analysis, content optimization, meta-tag creation, link development and other SEO related activities
  • Support, train and mentor non-SEO team members on foundational SEO tactics
  • Work closely with IT and Engineering to ensure alignment with SEO strategies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about all technical aspects of SEO
  • Work closely with various departments on all major website changes impacting SEO
  • Review website data for keyword insights and SEO trends
  • Proactively identify and offer solutions to reverse negative trends
  • Develop, share and document SEO best practices across multiple families of businesses.
  • Partner with Regional teams to develop projects to address existing technical SEO issues
  • Provide requirements and recommendations pertaining to redesign and platform migrations
  • Execute on business requirements and assure these ladder up to roadmaps and business goals
  • Articulate and present analyses and learnings effectively to the team and to key stakeholders – expertise in Powerpoint required.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly reporting of SEO performance and monitor dashboards to track and socialize performance.

Qualifications

(Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with 2 years performing SEO at Junior Associate level.
  • Must have SEO Retail/E-Commerce or omni-channel experience
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and other website technology related to SEO
  • Experience auditing Schema markup and writing requirements for JSON-LD implementation
  • Direct experience with implementation of rel=”alternate” hreflang Familiarity with RegEx
  • Must be familiar with JIRA, comfortable writing JIRA tickets and knowledgeable about agile workflows.
  • Extensive experience working with Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Majestic, Google Trends, Stat, etc.
  • Solid analytical skills – familiarity with Adobe Analytics
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with a keen eye for detail, requiring minimal supervision
  • Results-driven marketer with proven quantitative and analytical skills; should be extremely comfortable with Excel (functions, pivots, etc.). Tableau experience a plus.
  • Proactive & independent, always looking for ways to take initiative and improve status quo.
  • Must be a collaborative, cross-functional team player and comfortable partnering with a variety of teams
  • Must exhibit superb verbal and written communication skills in English, fluency in a second language a plus.
  • High degree of comfort interpreting results and communicating insights effectively to upper management
  • Passion for SEO – up to date on current trends, active in the SEO community
  • Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit
